Help Our Students That Have Been Displaced by Hurricane Florence
Help us get basic school supplies such as backpacks and binders along with hygiene supplies such as deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and body wash for our classmates for the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.
The students submitting this project are part of a Leadership class that has recently developed at our school. Elena, Will, Danielle, Gracie, Ross, Isabelle, Sage, Emily, Cam, McKinley, Sydney, and Piyal, along with multiple other students, are the main leaders in this campaign. They are ambitious, intelligent, caring students who want to help the homeless population at our school. All of these students are role models to their peers and are excellent representatives of our school and our community.
They all have a passion to make our school community come together and help each other out. They are spreading kindness to the world and making sure each student knows that it is okay to ask for help.
The students running this project are working very hard in contributing to our students in the community. This is preparing them to be leaders not only in their community, but in their futures. With the help of your donations, the students will be able to help out hundreds of students in and around our community.
This Service Project is one of many and will create an environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, focus, and real-life problem-solving. These students are our future but will rely on the help of your donations to make this project come to life. They are determined to fund this project and make it a success for our school.
In Their Own Words
Our goal for this project is to provide basic needs for our fellow classmates without the burden of spending their own money after the destruction of Hurricane Florence. Most of our classmates have and will lose everything because of the flooding due to Hurricane Florence. The last thing we want our classmates to worry about is how they will get new supplies and basic hygiene supplies.
We have a class dedicated to a Leadership Program but this is the biggest project we've taken on so far. We plan on contacting the local newspaper and getting our community involved in this project. Since we are in charge, we are hoping to reach out to companies, neighbors, and family to help us succeed. We have already contacted local churches and neighborhoods to see what they need and how we can help donate.
This project is important to us because some people don't realize how bad the situation is in the Carolina's. Just because it didn't directly impact some of the area some people don't realize how bad the situation truly is. We just want to be able to help support our classmates with essential supplies so they don't have to worry about how they will get new ones. This will take the weight off their shoulders and they can focus on other family issues and not worry about school supplies or other basic necessities.
