This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help our students become better environmental stewards of nature and develop an understanding of other cultures. Most students are students of color that need to be empowered and also learn about cultures different from their own. I have also added materials that will help make the 5th-grade classrooms the center of student engagement in science. These students have a strong sense of curiosity about the world around them.

This is a crucial year for students to become empowered and learn as much as they can before they move on to 5th grade.

It is my goal to have these tools ready for students to become great citizens and problem solvers of the world.

We will be using most of these materials to explore the interdependency between resources and living things. This is a crucial component of our learning since we are surrounded by different types of plants and wildlife.
