My students need spring scales, gram weights, balance scales, thermometers, as well as other science and math supplies to make our STEM classroom successful!
Do you remember reading your science book, answering the questions in the back of the chapter, and being bored out of your mind? How about answering odd numbers 1-59 in your math book? Well, no more! I want to engage my students in hands-on STEM activities all year long- that's why we need you!
My students are highly motivated, engaged third grade students.
They live in a low-income county in North Carolina and are not provided with the materials needed to engage successfully in STEM/STEAM education. My students love science, I want to keep that love going!
My Project
With your help, my students will be able to complete multiple science labs throughout the year. I have many labs written up, but am missing many of the resources needed to complete them. Students will benefit from your generous donation while learning about states of matter, heat energy, force and motion, the solar system, plants, and more! Students will use balance scales and gram weights to explore properties if matter in science as well as measurement in math. Solar paper allows students to discover how the sun interacts with various objects. Spring scales will assist students in exploring gravity and how it is a force that pulls. These labs would not be possible without your help!
Without your donation I will be unable to provide quality, engaging, hands-on, standards based instruction to my students.
Our science books are outdated. They do not include the standards that have been in place for that last two years in our state. STEM is something I feel passionate about, it is where the rest of the world is thriving. Please help me provide quality instruction to my kids!
