This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach three 7th grade classes of English Language Arts.

Our school is located in an area of high poverty.

My classroom is an inclusive classroom, and I service students with various educational needs. I like to make sure that all their needs are met everyday.

Our school has suffered many budget cuts that has left us with very little money to purchase anything other then mandated material. However, none of these issues detract from my students desire to learn.

My Project

Sadly years have taken a toll on my classroom library. It has dwindled from its former glory. Many books are taped with duct tape or in such bad shape that they just end up in the trash,

I find that my student enjoy our novels so much, that it would be a shame not to replace them.

They love to experience new things through novels. Each novel brings to life a new world to experiencing. The Giver offers a look into the world of Science Fiction. While,Tuck Everlasting takes the students into the world of Fantasy. Finally Brian's Song shows the students, especially boys, the power of a strong enduring friendship.
