Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
An infinite number of studies show that connecting math with literature impacts student achievement. Help us update our library.
The students who will use this collection are primarily 2nd and 3rd grade students at a school with 75% of students qualifying for free and reduced lunch.
All students and teachers will be able to access the books from the school library, and there's a high likelihood that intermediate students will want to access these books as well.
My Project
Our math literature library has not been updated in seven years or so. The amount of quality literature that has been published since then is remarkable. Our students deserve the most up-to-date relevant books related to math to help solidify their learning and make math relevant to their lives.
Kids need to improve their achievement in math.
Literature creates a critical bond between the two subjects, bringing reluctant mathematicians back into the fold. Please help us reach all learners.
