Our library celebrates cultural awareness by highlighting monthly holidays and celebrations. I would like to spotlight some authors and illustrators during this time with a display every month. These books showcase the importance of representation in a culturally diverse library.
Students will be able to see themselves in these books and know that they are important to our May family.
Having students aware of the cultural celebrations that take place each month helps bring awareness, inclusion, and empathy to various cultural groups not only within our community but around the world.
