Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our video art class teaches teamwork, leadership, how to use creativity, flexibility, computer skills, graphic design, and more. Specifically, our video art course covers pre-production, writing, editing, on-camera acting, technical work, critical analysis, post-production editing, and presentation. Our past students have been amazing and have been producing quality programming for many years. Our school serves low income students who usually don't have any access to quality video production equipment, so we can use all the help we can get to acquire the equipment needed to provide a quality education.
My Project
With different lenses for our DSLR cameras, we'll be able to teach students new photo and video techniques. Keeping up-to-date on our equipment is always a challenge, but we believe that this camera lens will provide years of use even if we need to replace our cameras.
With the use of this lens, we can teach students how to operate the camera and compose an image using more than one type of lens.
Hands-on learning, with the use of new technology, imparts a sense of process and accomplishment which drives our students to want to learn more. Our kids have shown that they have a thirst to learn new techniques and use these newly developed skills to create original and creative projects.
