Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and is played in most countries. Here at our high school, we have a large Hispanic population that loves to play soccer. Many of these students are newcomers to the United States and want to be involved in extracurricular activities. We are in need of sweatshirts for cold weather. These sweatshirts will contribute to our school being able to provide this sport, without that financial burden on the athletes. Being able to participate in organized sports has an enormous impact on these students. At our school, many of our students come from single-parent or low-income homes with limited transportation and income. Over 85% are economically disadvantaged. Thank you for supporting our soccer team with the equipment to have a successful program.
