Our players have a true love for the game of basketball and really cherish every moment they get on the court. Being a Magnet school, they come for all different backgrounds and neighborhoods, yet being on a team makes them feel like brothers.
They have a true bond, brought together by their love and passion for basketball, and playing together as a team.
I regularly see them help each other up off the floor, give high fives, makeup with each other if they have a disagreement or argument and have a ton of fun. They seem to be smiling a lot when together playing the game they love.
The donations you give will allow our middle school boys the opportunity to play in our local basketball league, We Got Game. There is nothing like team sports to work on character traits, such as teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and hard work. Some of my best memories of middle school were from my time on my school basketball team.
The memories the boys will make playing team sports will be remembered for a lifetime.
The bonds made may last forever, and the feeling of going through tough losses and great wins will have a huge impact on their lives now and in the future.
