Help My Writers Share Their Work!
My students need a document camera to share their work with the class and a camcorder to record and review their speaking and listening skills.
My kids are struggling to understand the passion and joy that comes from writing. We need the tools necessary to work on our writing and share it with each other.
My students attend an elementary school in rural North Carolina.
Most are from Mexico or Central America. English is not their first language and they really want to learn more about expressing themselves. They excel in reading and listening but still struggle with writing and speaking.
If we have a document camera in the classroom, we will be able to look at author's original works together and discuss what we like and don't like. We can pick out great descriptor words as a group and use them in our own writing. The students can also share their own work with the class so that everyone can see the writing together. The video camera will help the students record themselves speaking so they are able to evaluate themselves and improve their speech.
I have a great group of 3rd graders who are excited about the upcoming year.
I want them to be as successful as possible as this year is the beginning of state assessments. Please Help Me Help Them!
