Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love to read non-fiction books that teach them more about the world. Our library is filled with fiction books and I would love to get some more informational texts into their hands!
I have 22 talented 3rd graders who love to read.
Since many of my students are English Language Learners, keeping their interest in reading is very important to me. Although they enjoy reading fiction books, they have a high interest in non-fiction materials. They are always looking for new books to read and share with their fellow classmates.
My Project
I would love to provide my students with some non-fiction book sets. These sets are level which will help me insure that each student is reading a book that is just right for them. These books will expand our library and help my students become comfortable reading informational material.
Many of you are aware of how the budget cuts have drastically hurt education.
It can be so difficult for teachers to provide their students with brand new books. Through your donations, I will be able to give my classroom the non-fiction texts that they need.
