My Students

I have a very diverse group of students who have faced many challenges in their short lives. In our area, financial hardship is real.

I am so blessed to teach in a school where everyone works to meet the diverse needs of all of our students.

Our little school is special, but because we are so rural our declining enrollment is having a negative impact on our budget. There is not enough funding to provide the extras that make a classroom both functional and a little extra special. I do what I can personally, but it is never enough.

My Project

My students live and learn in a rural area of our great state of Arkansas. There is so much to learn about our great state and the world around us, but due to budget cuts, we are sometimes unable to supply our students with exciting, engaging materials.

My students were fortunate enough to have a project funded last year for Studies Weekly and they enjoyed it immensely!

They learned so much from it-especially the virtual field trips that they could access through the digital part of the subscription.

These materials align with Arkansas standards in Social Studies.

The lessons are engaging and teach the standards through meaningful, real-world examples.

Help me provide my students with the best possible learning environment possible. Many of my students are below grade level in all content areas and these materials will encourage them to practice their skills on a daily basis.

I am excited at the prospect of being able to bring these materials to my class this year. Just be assured that if you help fund this project, my students will reap the benefits weekly and beyond!
