My Students

I am so blessed and grateful to work in a school of over 1000 students who are energetic and curious. Despite coming from a variety of backgrounds, the students in my classes have developed a camaraderie that belies their differences.

We will be exploring culinary arts through study and hands-on learning experiences throughout the school year.

Children ranging from grades 9-12 have selected the course for different reasons but regardless of their motivation, everyone needs to know how to cook healthy meals for themselves and their families. I am working to foster self-motivation, healthy and economical eating habits, as well as a sense of confidence and security in every child.

My Project

In the Intro to Culinary Arts course, I teach a wide range of ages and cooking abilities. Some students are interested in pursuing careers as chefs or other jobs in the culinary world (dietician, restaurant kitchen management, and more) while other students want to develop life skills!

The stand mixers will be used for teaching students how to incorporate ingredients for baking, meal preparation, and more.

Donors to this program can rest assured their donation will be used to benefit students as they explore areas of interest as well as learn and sharpen the skills they need to become successful adults. My students and I appreciate your consideration of our project. =)
