Help My Students Learn in the Light
My students need a projector.
Imagine trying to read, write, and solve problems in the dark. My students are faced with this obstacle daily. The projector we currently have in our classroom is very old causing the students to have to work in a darkened classroom in order to read, use, or copy from the Smart board. Please help!
I teach a diverse group of students who rely on the Smart board and document camera to explain their learning, copy notes, and teach their methods in solving math problems.
We are not a Title I school, so we do not receive grant money to keep up with the latest technology. My students come from all economic groups and need help to be able to work with the lights on instead of in the dark day after day.
My students will finally be able to read, write, solve math problems, conduct science labs, etc. with the lights on allowing them to see what they are writing or reading. I also worry about how working without light will effect their vision. I can't wait to see how a new projector that works with the lights on will allow my students to work with the lights on and be able to see all they need to see to understand, critically think, and evaluate their work.
The projector I am requesting will help my students excel with their learning and not become frustrated!
No longer will they have to beg me to turn the lights on for them. It breaks my heart that I have to decide between when and if I can turn the lights on or keep them off. I also waste so much of their learning time turning the lights on and off.
