Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 29 third graders who I enjoy teaching. What I love about my students is that they are very creative and each one of them have their own personality that makes them unique and special. They are all bilingual students that thrive for the best even though being bilingual could be challenging at times.
Despite the challenges they may face outside of the classroom, I am compromised to give them the best education so that they can reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
My students come from low-income families and receive free breakfast and lunch every day. My third graders have too much to offer and dream about being professionals someday and support their community. With your help, these amazing students will accomplish their dreams!
My Project
This school year I was moved to teach in a 3rd grade classroom! I previously taught kindergarten for two years. As I was putting my classroom library together, I saw that I did not have many books for my students, especially in Spanish.
By donating to our project, you will help my students enhance their native language and improve their academic achievements throughout their education.
My students enjoy reading books but are getting kind of sad that they do not have many books to choose from. These books will make a big difference in my students lives because they will have the opportunity to read books they enjoy and that are in their native language.
