Learning can be fun! My students will have the opportunity to learn this statement this year in 2nd grade! My students are creative and have wondrous minds that are hoping to be filled with real life, hands on, learning experiences! I work at a school that is full of students who are eager to learn and read. There are about 700 students in our school, 20 of those being my 2nd graders! I want to fill their minds with real world learning!
I teach the best and brightest within my school district.
My students attend a school where education is very important. Teachers, administrators, parents, and students all work together to create an ideal learning environment for these students. My job is to create an ideal classroom for my students to learn and thrive in their education.
My Project
My school district has made a commitment to giving our students real life technology experiences by providing 1-to-1 iPads for all students in our classrooms. In my second grade class we use learning apps, notability, Epic Reading, and more to enhance student learning. All students are asked to provide their own ear buds or headphones.
By funding this project, you can help students gain the full benefit of having 1-to-1 technology.
Unfortunately, inexpensive earbuds are not the best choice for younger students. Headphones are a much better option, but are more expensive.
The problem students have is the economical ear buds that are affordable for all students do not last and students frequently lose them or break them. Having quality, durable headphones at school will increase our classroom learning because all students will be able to have access to the same type of headphones. These headphones will be located and remain in the classroom to decrease the potential of losing or breaking ear buds.
