Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing, and really want to learn as much as we are wanting to teach them! My students are around 11 and 12 years old, mostly all from Latin America, and are on a free lunch program. Our school is huge. We have over 1,000 students and we lack all major resources. We go from Pre-K to 8th grade, with mono and bi-lingual classes. Lastly, we are in the fourth largest city in the state of New York.
My Project
I am requesting much needed materials for my students. I really want to offer my students a comfortable classroom, where they can feel like they are at home. I would like my students to be able to come to school with pride, and to have a classroom where they feel most connected. I am requesting materials such as paper for the walls, paper to make posters with, and other materials that would be useful to decorating the classroom.
