Help me give my students fun and engaging ways to experience and explore future careers through play work shop. I need your help to give them what they deserve.
My students are unique and have a great sense of humor. They love to explore the world around them. I work at a title building where all students qualify for free and reduced lunch. So having a lot of opportunities to explore the world is not always possible. We also have limited funds for our play workshop that could allow me to provide new opportunities for my students to roll play: how to build; create new dishes; build and move robots; pretend to doctor patients and drive machinery. I have slowly brought in items to inspire students to think about the world around them: such as: a pet grooming kit , legos, and a cash register with money, but they need more things to explore what the world has to offer them.
With these materials my students will be able to to explore even more career choices that use reading, writing and math that will inspire them to want to learn when they come to school each day.
Working at the restaurant, will students want to create dishes like Chef Ramsey, write down orders and add up tickets. Engineers will be working with geometry and construction as they design new structures. The Robotics engineers will be using skills such as sequencing and collaboration to solve tasks on cards. The Doctors will be communicating with patients to solve problems and read charts along with medicine bottles to help others. The Beauty Spa will inspire business owners on how to manage a business with regards to marketing and finances.
