Help my students be able to create during the pandemic!
Help me give my students as they only have a pencil and paper while trying to do online learning in a high school painting and drawing class. My students are from a lower social economic family.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach painting and drawing to a lower social economic group of students. Most of my students only have a pencil and paper. I need to get sketchbooks, colored pencils and watercolor.
My students have had a lot to deal with in their lives.
A lot of them have lost a parent to gun violence, the justice system or abuse. Some of my students are in a foster home or are homeless .
But my students are resilient and they are so creative. But they need the supplies to be able to create, especially since we weren’t given any notice that they wouldn’t be able to go back to school to get supplies.
My Project
I teach high school drawing and painting at a lower social economic school. Most of them only have a pencil and paper to complete online learning. They deserve to have the opportunity to continue their learning.
What a great way for students who are dealing with a pandemic and social and emotional trauma!
My students would love to be able to create watercolor paintings expressing their thought and emotions about what they are dealing with.
My project will be to give the students some basic supplies so they can explore the consequences of the pandemic using watercolors. Would you please help give my students this opportunity?
