Help My Second Graders Learn Foundational Math Skills!

Help me give my students the opportunity to review and practice the foundational skills needed to be successful in math. By providing each student with their own set of base ten blocks, and games Math will be fun!

My Students

My students are amazing! They all come with a variety of learning strengths and learning challenges. With the current pandemic, many students are showing holes in foundational learning skills. They desire to learn but often times find it difficult to only use paper, pencil, or whiteboard. I'm finding that being on an electronic device is routine for them. We do many different activities of learning and review on electronics. My students need engaging learning and practicing collaborative opportunities. They need opportunity to practice the skills in fun ways.

My Project

My students need a fun and engaging way to learn and practice math skills with the teacher, para, classmates, and at home with parental help. I do not have math games or even base ten blocks in my classroom. I borrow from other teachers, so the manipulatives cannot go home for practice.

Parents also ask for engaging ways to help their child at home.

These resources would be able to go home to have additional practice using concrete manipulatives.

The products I have selected are a great mix of whole, group instruction, small group reteaching, partner experiences, and homework activities. All of these items will be engaging and motivating for my little learners.
