My Project

A lot of my students have not had a preschool experience due to covid. Many of them lack developed fine motor skills, and many need opportunities to practice interacting socially with their peers.

I work at an IB school and I am constantly looking for ways to give my students opportunities to wonder and connect with the world around them.

My students love holding and handling manipulatives and creating things using their imaginations! They love making connections with things we have learned and using loose parts to show what they have learned.

My students love me reading to them (I'm currently reading the Mercy Watson series to them, but I have had to check out all our books from the public library), and they love using play dough and other manipulatives to be fully engaged and participating in the exploring that we do in Kindergarten. I started teaching middle of the year last year due to another teacher not being able to return in person due to Covid. This would really help me get stocked with supplies my students can use right away to help them learn in a hands-on way!
