Reaching their highest potential in math are my students' goals. They are learning to mathematically organize their thoughts and now their materials in order to be successful. The folders will make it easier to differentiate between what is needed for certain lessons.
My 6th graders are NYC students who deserve a math room organized for learning.
They are independent thinkers who are striving to be scholars. 97% of the students in the school receive free lunch. They take their learning seriously and depend on me to help them achieve the NYS math standards required to pass 6th grade. They lack the resources needed to assist them in the classroom because their parents do not have the financial means to obtain them. Help them by donating; we are depending on you. Thanks for your support!
My Project
We will be doing weekly math projects and daily math activities. For example, the chart paper will allow them to refer to the charts as a form of tutoring and helping to create independent thinkers. In order to help cure math phobias, the students will have color coded folders to assist in materials needed for math projects and performance tasks.
Your support will make such a difference in how math is organized and taught for my students.
The students need, not want, these materials in order to be successful and plant the seed to be mathematicians for life. The students will know that others view math as a very important subject. I am begging you to fund this project in order to help close the achievement gap by setting my students up for success!
