Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year has been such an interesting year so far! I am excited to see and experience lots of fun during the remaining months that we have together.
This year I have a class full of twenty-six enthusiastic first graders that are ready, and anxious to learn.
I have a wide range of different leveled learners in my classroom. I am in my 8th year of teaching in a high needs school. We have a large population of English Language Learners at our school, and 85% of our students are receiving free or reduced price lunch.
My Project
I am requesting a two sided outdoor activity table. This table will serve as both academic, and fun purposes that I think my little friends will love!
We will not only be able to have some water fun on hot afternoons, but we will also be able to complete some fun STEM challenge activities that without a water table would not be possible.
The table I am requesting has two sides so I will be able to provide students with two different sensory activities simultaneiously. There are a lot of possibilities with this sort of activity table and I think it will be a valuable addition to our classroom.
