My Students
My students will be learning how to read. They will need various materials to help them along the way. I would like to provide my students with an environment full of comfort to promote a love for reading. I am requesting things such as bean bag chairs and other types of flexible seating. Thes e types of seating will allow readers to find the perfect spot to read, which can really make s difference! My goal is to allow children to discover that they can love reading, even if it is hard for them.
My Project
My goal is to provide my students with a relaxed environment that includes a variety of seating options to support students to feel comfortable when learning how to read. I am requesting bean bag chairs, stools that wiggle, and other comfortable seating arrangements for my first graders.
I would also like to provide my students with a plethora of books so that students can learn about what types of books they like, and enjoy learning how to read. I have requested a classroom library and some all time classics. I have also requested some nonfiction texts. Providing students with a variety of texts across the appropriate reading levels will allow for students to explore different types of literature and help them to discover that reading can be fun and interesting, even if they are finding it challenging.
