Help My Beginning Readers Become Successful!

Help me give my students the materials they need to become fluent readers in English and Spanish. I need the materials to make this happen. I need sight word vocabulary cards and beginning sight word books.

My Students

The students who would benefit from this project are in 2nd Grade Dual Language Immersion. They are amazing, young, talented students who are focused on becoming fluent readers. They are working so hard to improve their sight word vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.

My Project

I am requesting materials to help my students who are struggling in reading. I need sight word cards and beginning print books that I can use with my students in small reading groups. I would also be sending these books home to reinforce the fluency and sight words at home. I will be also creating simple comprehension prompts the parent can use at home to reinforce basic comprehension of the story. Because I am a DLI teacher, I am requesting these materials in English and Spanish. My goal is for the students to become fluent in reading English and Spanish.
