This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the sweetest bunch there is! As a first year teacher, these students have a special place in my heart because of their laughter, their courage, and their grit. These students do not let anything get them down and are always ready for a challenge. If you ever need a laugh, come visit this class!

My Project

My first grade kiddos absolutely LOVE to use their iPads! We use them daily for centers, free-time, and even enrichment of our curriculum. However, we have run into an issue of our hand-me-down headphones not working properly. From broken cords to ear pieces falling off, my students are not able to truly focus when they constantly hear many other noises coming from the iPads around them. I believe that having durable, long-lasting headphones would truly make a difference in the learning of my students. They will be able to hear the stories they read, focus on their enrichment, and have a better experience with their technology!
