Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are my heroes. Some of my students are battling life-threatening illnesses.
I get all types of critically ill students during the school year.
Sometimes I have students with end-stage renal failure. Sometimes the students have cancer. Sometimes my students have serious depression. All of my students are from low-income households. My students are the most inspiring people I've ever met. My students are brave. I work with students in grades K-12 who have serious medical issues. All of my students come to school ready to learn. It is a joy and a privilege to work with these students. Each day, they try their best in school while battling cancer or waiting for an organ transplant. Some of my students have been in serious accidents. Most of the students experience pain on a daily basis.
All of my students are a pleasure to work with. In addition to their serious medical problems, all of my students reside in high-poverty neighborhoods.
My Project
My students would like to have books and learning tools and kits. My students would like interesting literacy books to read! My students would love to read a variety of books.
The critically ill students participate in school and a rigorous educational program.
My students like interactive books and would like colorful, engaging books and maps.
Even when they are ill and receiving medical treatment, students still attend school. Most of my students come from low-income families. Most of my students don't have school supply kits, books, or learning games. They really need these materials to support their school program.
Since most of my students are under a great deal of stress and most of the students have chronic pain due to serious medical conditions, the ability to provide them with their own books and learning tools brings excitement to learning.
Having new books, supplies, and learning tools will help to brighten a sick child's day! This project will provide a student with important books to read. Students love to have their own books and maps.
