it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Counting, adding, making patterns, and more! My Kindergarten Mathematicians love participating in daily Math Centers!
My Kindergarten class is made up of a 18 eager, unique learners.
They come to school ready to learn despite the obstacles they face prior to stepping foot in the classroom. We are a Title I school, and almost all of my students are English Language Learners.
My Project
In my classroom, students spend a portion of their day engaged in math centers. I'm requesting materials that will help enhance their learning of key Kindergarten math concepts such as counting, adding, making patterns, and identifying and describing shapes.
Soon, my class will start learning about story problems. The Pop and Add Game Kit and the Read and Solve Word Problem Center will help students to get excited about creating their own story problems, counting manipulatives, and writing their equation on the erasable board. I've also included a 2-D shape game and 3-D shapes that will help tremendously with instruction. The 3-D shapes I am requesting are large so it will help students with describing how many sides and vertices each shape has.
These exciting tools will help build a strong foundation of Kindergarten Math concepts such as being able to count, sort, make patterns, and add.
All of the games and materials will help meet the Common Core State Standards.
