Determined, hard-working, and enthusiastic are just a few of the words that I would use to describe the 22 amazing students that I am able to work with. Some of my students only need support in their general education class and others need more intensive instruction. No matter what the tasks, my students are always willing to give it go! In our classroom, we don't say "I Can't" we always try. My students come from different economic levels and cultural backgrounds, but their excitement about learning is the same!
My students are given opportunities to interact with others to grow as learners and to help each other grow.
My students know what it means to set goals and work together to meet those goals. My goal as a teacher is to develop lessons that will engage my students and get them as excited about learning as I can.
My Project
From my teacher's point of view, there is nothing more exciting than to see my students as engaged learners. The Teach Your Heart Out conference would re-energize my passion for teaching, leave me feeling inspired and able to create engaging lessons that will leave my students wanting to learn more.
Teach Your Heart Out conference is to provide teachers with the tools necessary to create and deliver highly engaging lessons through research-based strategies.
My goal following the conference is to motivate my students to get ready to learn! Measuring my student success is more than assessments and observations, it is also their engagement in the lessons. By using the strategies and ideas presented at the conference, I will use these strategies to actively engage my students in the lessons, increase their attention, and help them be excited to learn new skills.
By attending the conference, I will gain new knowledge and engagement ideas to provide meaningful instruction and increase my passion in teaching. I plan to share the strategies I learn during a staff meetings, share with coworkers the ideas and materials I receive. I want to be able to help other teachers grow and learn as well. I hope that staff members will look to me as a leader for sharing and discussing engagement strategies as I continue to improve my instruction and engagement strategies.
