Help me give my students the best I possibly can! The computer I am currently using is not of good quality. When Zooming with my students; it is choppy, unclear, and pings.
My students have the best smiles! Every day when they would walk in to our classroom, they were just as happy as I was to be there. We all are missing the daily routines and the friendships we had formed. They have a passion for learning, always keeping me on my toes, and wanting more!
My students come from families that love them but struggle with how to teach them academics.
They are caring and loving parents who truly want the best for their child. Some of the parents are essential workers and need to be out of the home every day, leaving the student at home with older siblings who may not be supporting them.
It is a very diverse bunch of students who all have different needs. Some of my parents need interpreters and where the children are so young they need me more now than ever.
My Project
My students have all struggled with learning at home. They need me in front of them to help them. They come from inner-city homes and have parents that are still working during this pandemic. By having this computer, I will be able to conduct a Zoom class for all subject matters, in whole group and small instruction group, and not have the technical problems I am currently experiencing. We have already lost 7 weeks of instruction, and I don't want any more time slipping away.
I want to be Zooming as much as possible to give my students what they deserve to have.
Seeing them this past week has melted my heart! I wish we were back in school, but if we are not, I will continue to teach them to my best abilities.
