This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are courageous in the classroom! Despite the everyday challenges that some of these kids experience, they work hard to achieve their goals in school.

My students have grit!

They come to school ready to learn despite the challenges that they face on a daily basis. Science class is an opportunity to open doors for students, and to expose them to the countless opportunities available to them in the future!

I strive to create a classroom that is warm, engaging, and exciting for students!

My Project

My teen students absolutely love vinyl stickers! I've used them as rewards in my classroom for a few weeks now and the response has been awesome. Students enjoy being able to pick out something that shows their personality, so I try to offer a good variety of stickers that my students will like.

When the sticker box comes out, students are eager to ask deep delving questions, share their ideas, stay on task for the entire class period, etc.!

It is awesome to see them so engaged! These stickers also help me build relationships with students by learning more about their interests!
