My students are a group of energetic kindergartners eager to learn. Our classroom fosters a positive environment, where kids are encouraged to learn from hands-on activities and are actively involved in their learning.
My goal for each child is to develop a love of learning in a positive, supportive, and caring atmosphere.
I want to encourage them to always do their very best and never give up. Although they all come from various backgrounds, I want them to come together as a class family to learn and grow, while recognizing that they are each special and unique.
This project will cover the cost of lodging and registration so I can attend a professional development opportunity at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. The Ron Clark Academy has master teachers who use unique strategies to engage their students, and I will have the opportunity to learn from them and observe their students in the classroom setting. This will allow me to build the confidence and poise in my students that the Ron Clark students possess.
After I learn these incredible engagement strategies, I will be able to apply them in my own classroom.
My growth as a teacher will positively impact my students as they learn the engagement strategies that I pick up at the workshop. They will be able to use these techniques throughout the rest of their educational careers.
Thousands of teachers from numerous countries have had this same opportunity to develop professionally, and 19 out of 20 of them have success with these methods in their classrooms. With a training opportunity this successful, I look forward to the opportunity to grow as a teacher.
