Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been a middle school teacher in a diverse and urban school for 25 years. I have a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Multicultural Education. I am absolutely dedicated and passionate about what I do. I could not imagine doing anything else.

My students range in ability from severely below grade level to second language learners.

Now with the pandemic, we have been in distance learning since March 2020. While I may have the tools and experience to make students become as successful as possible, I need help to enhance my pedagogy to improve my delivery of instruction while teaching virtually.

My Project

Reading and writing are basic tools for a good life and it is our responsibility to provide instruction that helps our students become life-long learners.

By having funds to purchase materials from TpT, I will be able to improve my lessons while teaching virtually.

I can purchase materials and modify them to meet the needs of my students. With these resources, I can also work collaboratively with my peers so that we can collectively improve our instruction, to maximize student learning. This will be a win-win for all stakeholders involved!
