My students are all special education students who have many classifications such as learning disabled, other health impaired, speech and language impaired, and autistic. They all come from different backgrounds and have very different personalities. They love to work in small groups where they can share what they know and not feel intimidated by a large class. My students range in age from 6-12 and enjoy receiving the extra attention and help in a small group setting.Thank you in advance from me and my students.
The materials I asked for will make learning to read fun for my students. They love to play reading games. This takes the pressure off of reading with a disability and teaches students how to follow rules, take turns, how to be a good winner or loser, and how to work cooperatively with others. My students love to come to small group instruction because I like to teach reading through games and interaction. Currently I have many games that I have made by hand but they are falling apart. I also use a dry erase easel as a central message board and learning tool but the one I have has a broken leg and keeps falling over. I would like to replace my old board and update my learning games so my students will have something extra to be excited about.
