I need help with the cost of lodging to attend this conference on student environmental collaboration.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
These students are very transient and often far behind in their basic math skills. They are trying to survive in a hostile environment and sometimes need a reason to keep on keeping on. I teach after school as well, trying to link math and science in a way that draws them in and gives them a desire to learn, that they may achieve more than their family members have done.
Sometimes it's that one idea or exposure to a new horizon that can turn them around and give them a reason to fly higher.
These are the reasons I teach: I want to change the world, one student at a time.
They search for hope and I want to give them just what the are looking for.
I am traveling to Ireland as part of the NASA GLOBE Conference this year. It focuses on student collaboration every few years and we are able to bring a couple of students along who get to work with students from other countries around the world. It has life-changing opportunities for these students. Mine are no exception as they have never been outside of their urban neighborhood before.
We need a place to sleep and you can help us accomplish that.
We have selected a small apartment in the area that will house all of us and since we have no funds from our district, we need to raise the funds ourselves. You can help us keep from sleeping out on the ground!
This will be an unforgettable experience for us as I have a chance to work with teachers in person and develop collaborative networking that will continue back in the classroom for future projects. Please help us make this the field experience of a lifetime!
