This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a Title I school in the lower socioeconomic society. They deal with a lot in their home, lives that children their age should not have to deal with. More often than not, school is an escape from their reality at home. These students are the sweetest kids when they enter the music classroom. Some come to school every day just so they can partake in music. My mission is to give them something to look forward to and to grow themselves every day in music class.

My Project

Level 3 will completely round out all the lessons and concepts that I have learned from the past two years of Orff training. The curriculum training will help me create specific things for my unique classes. This would help my students tremendously in building and evolving their musical abilities and transform their brain power. Creating something specific to my situation with all the tools learned in levels 1, 2, and 3 would have a serious impact on my teaching and the students learning. Level 3 and curriculum Orff training would just uplift my students to planes that they never would have experienced otherwise.
