Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember how fun it was sliding down the chute in chutes and ladders, and how proud you felt when you won a game? Please help my class experience these same feelings!
Welcome to our preschool class, where fun and learning never ends.
We need some supplies to help us learn social skills! I am a special education teacher and I teach a preschool, self-contained class. My students have varied disabilities ranging from speech and language delays, cognitive delays, gross/fine motor delays, to autism. We spend our day doing many activities to help the students learn and develop skills they are delayed in. One of the biggest skills my students lack is social skills. Some of my students rather play by themselves and do not know how to interact with other children. We need materials that will help us interact with each other. Some of the materials that can help my students learn these skills are board games and books. The easel will help with small group games and activities using magnetic letters and numbers.
My Project
With these board games, my students will be able to learn to interact with their peers. They will learn to take turns, count, and experience what it feels like to win and lose and how to handle feelings of frustration when they loose. They will also learn social skills and manners with the books I requested.
Please support this project and give my students the materials they need to learn social skills and communicate with their peers.
My having these games and books my students will learn many important life skills they need to function in society.
