My Students

I am a 5th grade math teacher in a small town who has the privilege to teach some of the most innovative minds of our future. In my classroom, I look for ways for students to motivate and engage students. In Math we use whiteboards and markers every single day. I want to add a whiteboard table - and more dry erase markers - to my classroom so that students can work directly at the table and find fun and excitement during math class! My goal is to inspire students share in my love of mathematics.

My Project

Students who don't like math, typically think they don't like it because they just don't understand it. My goal is to teach students that math is an amazing and powerful life tool that we will utilize forever. I am looking to inspire them to have a passion for math. This table and markers will allow my students to practice these math concepts in an nontraditional setting. They can learn math while having fun and ultimately increase their knowledge and skills. In my classroom we have bike seats, and yoga balls. This whiteboard table will just add to the flexible seating and give students an amazing opportunity to love learning!
