Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a Title l school. The students are from low-income families and many of their learning supplies are funded by the school. Having extra resources to help develop my students' learning is always a priority. Each student learns in a different way, so having many resources to pull from is what helps make each student successful. Helping my students to develop a love of learning and hard work is a goal I set for myself each year!
My Project
These materials will add a hands-on, learning experience. They will add critical thinking skills to my Daily 5 centers for reading and math. Each item was picked to help develop my students' thinking and learning skills to a higher level. When students are able to use their whole brain to learn, the information sticks better and stays longer. Allowing students to learn from not only the teacher, but other students can be accomplished with the reading and writing center organizers. Each item will help me to strengthen my students' education to make them successful this year and years to come.
