This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students in my SETSS (Special Education Teacher Support Service) Group and my reading intervention group love learning through play and hands on activities. We love multisensory learning and have seen amazing progress over the last few years. I want to incorporate more Science of Reading and Orton Gillingham methods to see even bigger gains this year and in the future.

These books I am requesting will allow me to engage in professional development that will benefit my students.

By learning about the science of reading, I will be able to differentiate for all of my learners, especially my learners with disabilities. I will become a better reading teacher.

The decodable texts and phonics activity cards will allow my students to practice the strategies I will teach my small group reading instruction. Thank you for your support!
