Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We, the players of Ms. C's class, will work hard to be the best team. We will complete our work, meet our AR goals, and have a lot of fun. - Student created mission statement.
My 21 new first grade students are full of energy and love learning new things every day.
Most of them come from a low income home where school is a safe place to spend their days. Each student is given a free breakfast every morning as well as free lunch.
My Project
Help me give my students a fun, hands-on day of learning, I want to have a Glow and Learn day in our classroom! Students will be participating in fun, blacklight and glow in the dark based learning activities that will serve to reinforce their math and literacy skills while they're having fun!
These materials will help us transform our classroom to set the stage for learning.
We will be able to do a variety of addition and subtraction centers, building centers, and Language Arts concepts.
The great part about this project is that after Glow and Learn day, we will still be able to use these materials for fun review activities throughout the rest of the year and for many years to come!
