Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Self Contained students with Emotional Disabilities. I have 9th thru 12th graders who are with me for certain subjects and then go to elective classes or other Exceptional Education teachers. We work very hard on behaviors to give them the opportunity to be successful in the general education setting as well as in society.
My students are fun, energetic and bright.
They need support to help with work through their emotional disabilities. Teaching coping skills and creating consistent boundaries they prosper and are successful.
My Project
Help me give my students items to help with anxiety, stress and fidgeting so that they are more comfortable which will allow them to focus more and learn!
Being able to deal with their anxiety, stress and fidgeting allows my students take charge of their learning.
I have limited space in my classroom, but I still want to provide my students with a safe, comfortable environment for them to focus, learn and succeed. I want my students to be able to deal with their anxiety and stress in a productive way rather than lashing out.
