I need to help my students grow and learn by utilizing new techniques and strategies in my classroom that I can learn at the Teach Your Heart Out Conference.

My Students

This will be my 12th year teaching. Next year, I will teach 2nd grade. My class includes students of all different learning styles and ability levels. My classroom is part of the Early Intervention Program and it is vital to use engaging and meaningful lessons for the students to benefit and learn the most.

My goal as the teacher is to allow my students to be active in their learning rather than always simply listening to the teacher to give instruction.

My Project

Education is always evolving. There are so many new resources and ideas that could help make learning more meaningful for students everywhere, especially my 2nd graders. By attending this conference, I will learn many new effective and non-traditional ways to teach. I will be able to build a network of other educators across the country to collaborate with. This will allow me to continue to grow professionally as I build upon these relationships and experiences. I know that I will be able to come back and immediately implement some of the new ideas in my classroom and school!

I am excited to learn ways to help my students use technology confidently across content areas.

My students are very motivated by technology and I am hopeful to use this excitement to empower them in their learning.
