My Students

I am blessed to teach an amazing group of 18 students that all come from very diverse backgrounds. Many of my students come from low-income families and I try to make my classroom a warm and inviting environment where they always feel safe and loved.

My goal is for my students to wake up excited to come to school and to be able to look back on their year in first grade and remember all the fun and memorable things we did.

Attending the Get Your Teach on National Conference will absolutely help me achieve this goal.

My Project

At this conference, I will have the opportunity to spend three days with Deanna Jump, Hope King, and other expert presenters as they share their passion and enthusiasm for education and give me their tips, tricks, best practices, and teacher secrets to building a successful and engaging classroom. I will leave feeling motivated, empowered, and prepared to create dynamic lessons that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more.

I am looking forward to renewing my passion for a career that I adore and seeing my students even more engaged in learning!

I plan to bring back this amazing information and share it with the other K-2 teachers at my school. Therefore, this conference will be benefitting more than just my 18 firsties!
