My Students

I've noticed a real need in my students to have more support from a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) pedagogy, especially with the ongoing Covid pandemic.

A lot of the students in my community have been hit hard with the effects of the pandemic, and are struggling to navigate the difficulties and challenges of online learning, as well as keeping up with the demands of the current school system.

My Project

As a visual arts teacher, I find the tactile difference of quality papers to really affect students engagement with my drawing projects and assignments. When students are given quality materials, I find they are more likely to engage with their art projects on a deeper level.

I believe that by providing students with more professional-grade supplies in my drawing classes will greatly encourage students to try harder in my class.

I believe students can better feel our authentic confidence and autonomy and feel more genuinely supported when we give them access the tools they need to succeed.
