Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I started my career in education wide-eyed and eager to go above and beyond for my students. Now half-way through my second year, I have grown more than I thought possible in such a short amount of time, and my on the job education has gone above and beyond what was learned in a university classroom.
When you walk into our classroom, you will find an environment rich in relationships and an excitement for learning.
My students are 6 and 7 year olds that are full of imagination, ask thought provoking questions, and have a perspective that can only be understood through the lens of a child. Each day that my students arrive, I strive to provide them a day full of interactive learning that will get them excited about being in school. Whether we are learning about blends and digraphs, or addition and subtraction, I aim for my students to WANT to learn, and not just meet the obligation of being in the classroom.
My Project
Get Your Teach On is a conference developed by educators that aspires to create engaging lessons and make learning fun. This conference is about lifting up and supporting fellow educators, working together to brain-storm about what is best for students in the classroom, and for igniting the passion to be an outstanding educator.
I will use this conference as an opportunity to network with educators from around the country, and globe, find new ways to engage my students and get them excited about learning, and continue to ignite my passion for being an educator and role model for my students.
