I have 21 of the best kids you will ever meet. They are kind, caring, and love school. I strive to give students a structured and fun environment where they feel safe and cared for. What excites me most about my students is when they realize that they are capable of anything. In second grade students move from reading picture books to chapter books. every year my students are amazed that themselves for moving into chapter books. Because they saw reading a chapter book as such a "big kid" thing.
My Project
This project will allow me to learn new strategies and techniques for teaching this wonderful group of students, as well as, my future classes. Teachers give a lot and sometimes it's beneficial for teachers to experience new things and meet other teachers who are doing such new and creative things. Get Your Teach On offers teachers countless opportunities to experience something new and share it with their students. I would love to do that with your help.
One thing I am most excited about is learning how to do room transformations.
Teachers at Get Your Teach On have learned to "set the stage to engage" and have transformed their classrooms from anything to pirate ships to outer reaches of space.
