My Students

I teach three groups of 30 enthusiastic public school 6th graders who live in a suburban neighborhood of California.

They have varying abilities and learning styles, along with specific educational needs.

What makes them all similar is their sense of wonder, their curious nature, and their quest to explore their world. They are constantly asking "How?" and "Why?" and they live in a constant state of wide-eyed wonderment. I have the privilege and joy of working with them on a daily basis.

My Project

As a new middle school educator, it has been my dream to attend the National Get Your Teach On Conference! This 4-day conference will allow me to grow and branch out professionally in countless ways. The presenters are teaching "Rock Stars" and they will be providing current research-based strategies that provide the magic that helps curriculum come to life.

Attending GYTO will give me the opportunity to connect with teachers from across the nation to discuss best practices, share strategies and tips, and find new and tangible ways of doing things to bring back to my classroom to share with my colleagues.

I will leave feeling EMPOWERED, motivated, and prepared to create dynamic lessons that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more. Get Your Teach On is sure to be unlike any other educators’ conference.
