This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have the hearts the size of Texas! Full of energy, they come from a wide variety of backgrounds. They are from very rich homes to very modest ones, from limited English parents to parents who work at the nearby university. Regardless of their background, all students perform at their best when I am able to make learning fun and engaging! Attending Get Your Teach On's National Conference will help me catapult my instruction to a whole new level! Similar to my students, teachers like me need inspiring professional development to navigate through the many challenges faced by educators.

My Project

Get Your Teach On National Conference is a one of a kind experience for K-6 teachers. If given this opportunity, I will spend 2 1/2 days with the GYTO team as they share their passion and enthusiasm for learning and teaching.

This conference will provide current research based strategies to build a successful, engaging, and rigorous classroom.

The knowledge gained from this experience will directly impact the success of my students and will benefit students for years to come.

I will be empowered and motivated to create dynamic lessons that will challenge my students and leave them hungry for more.
