Ms. Dunagan from Montgomery AL is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students tracker folders to track their mastery in content, ACT and social studies skills. Also, my kids always need writing utensils--this should cover enough for the year!

My students are bright and enthusiastic. They have so much potential to rise to a challenging classroom environment and I'm excited to push them academically this year.
Despite the challenges they face in their personal lives or even in going to an underfunded school, my students have goals and dreams that push them to persevere.
Their motivation to press on truly inspires me.
As this is my first year teaching at this school, I look forward to getting to know them more over the school year.
I'm sure more needs will arise throughout the year but these are some basics to help get my classroom started this year.
Mastery Tracker Folders are crucial in getting my kids invested in their learning process and academic goals.
In order to reach 80% mastery in content and social studies skills, I provide assessments and students track their progress after I grade each one. They get really invested in reaching their goals and are able to distinguish which objectives and skills they need to work on in order to get there.
Many of my students face challenges before coming to school and I want to make sure something as basic as having a writing utensil never prevents them from being able to engage in their own academic success. This should supply enough for the year!
I will be teaching Contemporary World Issues and I think a class set of this Time subscription will be great for guiding our conversations about current events!
